Pollyanna has been honoured with a commission from the African Republic of Benin to paint a series of 12 'Owls of the World' for a set of commemorative stamps. The owls depicted include barn owls, tawny owls, snowy owls and a jungle spotted owlet. Many of the subjects were cared for by Pollyanna in the bird sanctuary she ran for 15 years - providing her with an unparalleled opportunity to sketch and study them. Others were sketched in their natural habitat during Pollyanna's working safaris to study endangered wildlife.
Pollyanna has previously painted a series of cat stamps for the Congo.
