Pollyanna Becomes Vice President of Wildlife Defence Fund |
 |
Pollyanna has accepted the honorary post of Vice President of a wildlife charity committed to the welfare of animals world-wide. The Wildlife Defence Fund has been founded by Dr Bill Jordan, one of the world's most respected Wildlife Vets. His name will be familiar to many of you though his work with the Charity Care for the Wild, which he founded over 20 years ago, as well as Born Free and Zoocheck. The fund will raise money, and ensure it is properly used to support wildlife projects at home and abroad.
The new charity is currently helping sanctuaries in the UK, Rhino's in the Aberdare national Park in Kenya, Cheetahs and elephants in Africa and Thailand, and River Dolphins in Nepal. There will be more news about Pollyanna's involvement in this last project in the next newsletter. 'Cubby's Club' is the junior section for the younger wildlife enthusiast, encouraging the love of animals and the environment in the under 16's. If you would like to receive further information about The Wildlife Defence Fund you can contact them at 1 Gildredge Road, Eastbourne, West Sussex BN21 4RU
Pollyanna will represent the charity in the UK, and as Vice President of the international branches of the Wildlife Defence Fund in the USA and Africa. |
