FIRST PLACE FOR ACRYLIC
Linda Rossin was recently contacted informing her that she had been honored with a First Place for Acrylic at the upcoming 85th International Miniature Paintings & Sculpture Art Show presented by Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society of Washington, DC. With slightly over 800 tiny works in this show, winning any award is certainly an accomplishment.
The MPSGS show will take place at the historic Strathmore Mansion in North Bethesda, MD, November 19, 2018 - January 6, 2019. Please click on Linda's Events Calendar, located in the column at your upper left for more information about this event.
Miniature art is a unique art form based on minute scale that traces its roots back to the book paintings and illuminated manuscripts of the 7th century. A work of fine art in miniature is a particularly personal object that draws the viewer into a very intimate world. The MPSGS juried art show is one of the oldest and largest miniature events in the USA.
