Before finding a permanent home in the Leigh-Yawkey Woodson Art Museum collection, Sparrow's Rest received an Medal of Excellence and Best of Show in the 2017 AFC Exhibition and Festival. It also received a Dual Category Award at the 2016 ARC International Salon Competition and was chosen for the ARC International Exhibition Tour, debuting at the Salmagundi Club in NYC and culminating at MEAM the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona, Spain. In addition it was part of the 2016 Western Visions Exhibition at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming. It also received an Award of Excellence from the Oil and Acrylic Painters Association.
