One of the highlights of the AFC Festival (as well as meeting so many lovely fellow members) was the demonstrating of my 'Big & Bold' style. With small reference photos I sketched and painted impressions of an old bull elephant I met in Tanzania and a Cape Buffalo from Kenya. Using a large board, bold colours and big brushes, I set to work painting live at the exhibition. Members of the public watched for a while, or commented as they passed. I had a very encouraging response from visitors and fellow members. I have volunteered for more at the 2018 event, including the quick draw!
