Pollyanna Pickering Wins AAA Gold Medal for ‘Best in Show’
Pollyanna is honoured and delighted to have been given the Gold Medal for the Best Painting in Show at the Association of Animal Artists Annual Exhibition for her study of a Jacob’s Ram.
The painting was selected from over 200 works on exhibition at the Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, Cheshire, submitted by artists from throughout the UK and around the world.
“it was a huge surprise” Pollyanna commemnted after collecting her award at the Preview evening “It is quite a subtle picture, and I thought it could easily be overlooked, so I am absolutely delighted that it was the painting which caught the judge’s eye!”
You can see the painting along with four galleries full of animal artwork through until 14th May 2017. The exhibition was selected by Artists and Illustrators magazine as one of the 12 most inspiring art exhibtions in the UK.
The AAA was founded to offer opportunities and support to artists from around the world working in the field of wildlife and animal art. It is the friendship and genuine support that the artists give each other and the charities which the AAA supports, which is the hallmark of the Association.
Pollyanna has previously won over 30 national and International awards recognising her acheivements in both art and conservation – find out more here
