Pollyanna Pickering is shortlisted for Landscape Painter of the Year!
Pollyanna is delighted to have made the final shortlist of 12 artists for the ‘Landscape Painter of the Year’ for her painting ‘By The Light of the Silvery Moon. Towards the end of 2016 Derbyshire Life launched a search to find the region’s most talented artists. Pollyanna is especially pleased to have been shortlisted despite the fact that she is of course primarily a wildlife artist!! the winner will be announced in May 2017.

The judges told us they received an impressive response to the call for entries saying “the range of entries illustrates not only the amount and diversity of artistic talent in the County, but also the inspiration provided by our varied local landscapes.” Jonathan Wallis, head of Derby Museums and Art gallery noted “It is great to see that Derbyshire’s rich heritage of landscape painting is alive and thriving in the work of contemporary artists”.
