7th Annual Nature and Wildlife Exhibition-St Augustine Art Association
James's "Portrait of a Buck in Snow" has been selected to the St Augustine Art Association Nature and Wildlife Show. The artwork was awarded "The artistic Merrit Award" (only one of eleven pieces selected to receive an award). There were one hundred total paintings in this juried show.
JUL 23 - AUG 28 / 2016 7TH ANNUAL NATURE & WILDLIFE EXHIBITION The beauty and wonder of the natural world are celebrated in this gallery-wide juried exhibition. A large prize purse attracts top artists from near and far whose original pieces are sold for the benefit of conservation efforts and art education.
The St. Augustine Art Association has been promoting excellence in the arts since 1924. Located in the Historic District of the nation's oldest city, the Association produces monthly juried exhibits of works by emerging and professional artists as well as the annual Thanksgiving Art & Craft Festival. The art gallery serves as the community's cultural hub, housing a collection of "Lost Colony" art and providing a gathering place for workshops, lectures, children's programs, concerts and special events.
