Nothing like working on a painting at the last minute. I had wanted to get a small "cat" painting done for the Natureworks show and the idea of a tiger coming towards the viewer started to come into focus. After working on the composition, I placed the tiger in the upper right corner moving through long grass. Leaving just enough time for the painting to dry, I was on the road for the show. The judging was done prior to the opening event on Friday and when I arrived at my booth, I was presented with a large blue ribbon and soon afterwards the purchase award. The complete story and title of the painting is below:
TIGER INTRIGUE
Tigers have always held a fascination for me. Such power and grace. While painting this piece, I was drawn into the implied action. What is he doing? The title seemed to fit the scene. Intrigue - a secret scheme. ORIGINAL OIL by Linda Besse 8.75" X 12.5"
