Live TV Specials Launch Pollyanna Pickering’s latest Craft Kits.
In 2013 Pollyanna appeared twice on a popular home shopping channel - in August and November - to promote brand new crafting products featuring her artwork. The shows and the craft kits both proved so popular that in 2014 she has become a regular guest on Create and Craft TV.
In February she appeared on three live one hour shows with presenter Dean Wilson (above right) and demonstrator Lynda Chapman (above left) to talk viewers through the inspiration for the paintings in her brand new world wildlife DVDrom. Pollyanna worked at her easel live in the studio, and talked about the close contact she has enjoyed with many of the subjects featured in the artwork on the DVD. On the second show of the day she even constructed one of the papercraft cards live on TV – under Lynda’s supervision!
Pollyanna returned in March to film three more shows showcasing a papercrafting kit on the World Wildlife theme, and then again in June when the TV studios had a unseasonably festive air as she presented her first ever Christmas themed paper kit. In August she brought a breath of fresh air in to the Summer heat wave with a World Wildlife ‘Snow and Ice’ themed collection – which included the very first pieces of artwork from her expedition into the Antarctic alongside polar bears, arctic foxes and wolves!
The product featured in each of Pollyanna’s three live shows on the launch days then continued each time to feature throughout the following three days as part of a special ‘4 Day Deal’, with at least seven more live shows being broadcast, featuring more live demonstrations and clips of interviews with Pollyanna.
Pollyanna is scheduled to return to the studios four more times this year – in September, twice in October and November. She will then take a break over Christmas – but has already been asked to return in March 2015 – keep checking www.pollyannapickering.co.uk for forthcoming times and dates.
