Because of the popular bidding in the fundraisers, a limited edition of twenty was established, and now only half of those are available. An auction and raffle headquartered in Chicago included #2 and#3, which generated $1845 for the Orca Network. Lolita is the daughter of Ocean Sun, and was captured in the Salish Sea to spend most of her life in a Miami aquarium. Both whales are created with black stain on light toned myrtlewood, with the markings true to the actual whales, and each pair is mounted on a myrtle burl base. The first rendition of this whale pair was stained and completed live during an art demonstration event at the 2014 Artists for Conservation Art Festival in Vancouver, BC.
