MERIT AWARD
When a judge is asked to determine the award winners at a show they must put their personal preferences aside and examine the artwork with a judges eye. Is there a strong composition? Are the colors clean? Are the values correct? Is the perspective accurate? Is the medium executed well? Does the work pull the viewer in? These are just a few examples of what a judge must look for when choosing the winners. "Garden of Dreams" filled all the criteria of the above and more and was awarded a MERIT AWARD at Heartland Art Guild’s Annual Juried Miniature Art Show, Paola, KS.
