The event was in Sisterdale on June 8th, 2014 with numerous attendees including book authors, reenactors, Texas Rangers, Native Americans, and many others. The colt Paterson pistol was a 5 shot revolver that was loaded like a musket. Each Ranger had a pistol with a spare loaded cylinder. There were about 12 Rangers led by Capt. Jack Hayes and about 80 Comanches led by Chief Yellow Wolf.
