Pollyanna Pickering is Finalist in The Art and Framing Industry Awards

Pollyanna was honoured when the Association of Animal Artists asked if they could nominate her on behalf of the association to be considered for the ‘Best Selling Published Artist’ category at The Art and Framing Industry Awards.

The awards which celebrate the very best in art and framing were hosted at the fabulous Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate. The winners, decided by a combination of judges and industry vote, were revealed and presented with their accolades at the gala ceremony on the evening of Saturday 11th May – and Pollyanna was delighted to be named as a finalist on her very first nomination! Guests at the ceremony enjoyed a gourmet dinner, live entertainment and a lively after show party. The awards are presented in association with the Fine Art Trade Guild.

Over the past 40 years, Pollyanna has become the most published artist in the UK – with work exported into over 80 countries around the world. Practically every home in Britain will have enjoyed her work at some time in the form of a Christmas or greeting card, print or calendar. Since 1994 Pollyanna’s work has been published by Otter House Ltd., who have published over 300 fine art prints to date, as well as limited editions, and an extensive range of greeting and Christmas cards. Their gift ware range includes decorative mats, fine china ware, stationery, and even jigsaws and enamel brooches. Otter House's book publishing division have commissioned five books of Pollyanna's artwork, with text and photography by Pollyanna's daughter and Business partner Anna-Louise. Pollyanna also has two American publishers who create and market unique products in the United States. Pollyanna's work has been commissioned and published by every major wildlife charity in the UK, including WWF and the RSPB, as well as many international organisations.

Pollyanna’s certificate of commendation will join an array of over thirty awards which have been bestowed in recognition of her work - including the most prestigious award in the field of wildlife art – The Artists for Conservation’s Simon Combes Award for Conservation through Artistic Excellence.
