Besse's painting Easter Parade in 2013 Birds in Art
Linda Besse's painting Easter Parade has been accepted into this year's prestigious Birds in Art exhibit at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum.
Linda has wanted to paint these Gray Crowned Cranes every since she saw them on a trip into Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania.
As for the title, "these birds remind me of the title song from the Fred Astaire - Judy Garland movie" Besse says. "In your Easter bonnet with all the frills upon it..."
This is the 9th time in 13 years in which a painting of Linda's has been accepted into Birds in Art.
