Art, Conservation and.... Beer?
The Alberta Chapter of the Wildlife Society (ACWS) in partnership with Alley Kat Brewing Company has just released its first two Species at Risk beer labels. “Boreal Brew” aptly named by and featuring the artwork of Jason Kamin, depicts his painting of a woodland caribou titled “Enduring Hardship”. The image, donated for the label, is to help the ACWS raise awareness and funding for Species at Risk programs in Alberta. A portion of the proceeds from sales will go directly to conservation initiatives. The more beer sold, the more help Alberta’s at risk species benefit!
For this pilot program initiative, the labels are only available in two stores; the Sherbrooke Liquor Store in Edmonton (780-455-4556) or at the Kensington Wine Market in Calgary (403-283-8000).
If you have the opportunity to purchase the elixer, congratulate yourself for helping out species at risk!
