Comedian Rob Brydon Draws Winning Ticket for Pollyanna
The winning ticket in the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation Winter Prize draw hes been drawn by comedian Rob Brydon (above right with Pollyanna). The lucky winner, Mr C.A. Wright of Derbyshire has won an original painting of a border collie.

Rob Brydon is a BAFTA-nominated Welsh actor, comedian, radio and television presenter and impresionist. He played Uncle Bryn in the comedy drama Gavin and Stacey, is the host of panel quiz show Would I Lie to You?, and played Keith Barret in the BBC comedy Marion and Geoff He also hosts The Rob Brydon Show, a fun chat show for the BBC. A great animal lover, he was pleased to be able to draw the winning ticket.

Through the sale of prize draw tickets the Foundation has raised £1,500.00 for the South Yorkshire Badger Trust . All the SYBG’s funds are spent directly on the protection of badgers and their setts. Through a percentage of sales and other donations, the Foundation also raised a further £2,350.00 to purchase a mobile rehabilitation aviary for the Secret World Wildfe Rescue centre in Somerset.

As Patron of The Badger Trust, Pollyanna is pleased to have this opportunity to help raise funds for one of their regional groups. All the SYBG’s funds are spent on the protection of badgers and their setts. Graham Shepherd told us “The cost of materials for this purpose is escalating at a frightening rate, so this unexpected donation is extremely welcome at this time.” Members of the local group actively participate in a variety of conservation projects aimed at protecting Badger Setts. These include the construction of artificial 'dig-proof' setts, physical protection of setts and a range of projects to assist farmers and landowners in the conservation of Badgers on their land.
