Michael's history of participation in the Masterworks in Miniature show has seen him win the Best of Show by People's Choice 3 times out of the 5 times he has participated. 2005 saw his first winning piece, 'Played Out', a portrait of a tired lion cub observed on the Chobe River in Botswana. His painting of 'Gypsy' won this same award in 2009, and in 2010 his wins went back to back with 'Curious' - Tiger Cub in 2011. This Year's entry depicts two house sparrows perched on a pile of discarded flour sacks.
