Susan Kathleen Black Foundation (SKB) organized a workshop in Dubois, Wyoming from 15th to 20th September in which ten AFC members took part. There was a miniature art show and competition in which Ahsan Qureshi was at first place in watercolor for the snow leopard painting and Carrie Cook was at 2nd place in oil. The workshop was supervised by world renowned instructors including Heiner Hertling, Gil Dellinger, Wanda Mum, Morten Solberg, Mark and Soon Warren.
The scheduled plein air sessions, studio work and cowboy model paintings were done by instuctors and artists. Many wildlife and nature paintings were displayed during the workshop and two auctions were done and the sale of paintings generated funds for art education.
The best purchase award was given to Ahsan Qureshi who is a member of AFC.
AFC has a mission to support the conservation of nature through art and so is very helpful in communicating the events for nature conservation.
