Big Bend landscape wins first place in Austin Texas competition
I was awarded first place in the "What Texas Means to Me" competition which was held in Austin, Texas. I was pleasantly pleased that most of the people with whom I spoke have either been to Big Bend National Park, or are planning on travelling there soon.
Several of us from the show are planning to exhibit our work which is based upon the Big Bend. We want our focus to be upon the fragility of the ecosystem and the importance of providing a home for the unique and endangered species which inhabit this expansive corner of Texas.
