Three Famous faces from stage and screen visited Pollyanna to lend their support to the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation's first fundraising campaign of 2010. Actor Christopher Cazenove visited Pollyanna's gallery to attend the launch event just weeks before his sad death earlier this month. Best known for his roles in Dynasty and the Duchess of Duke Street, he very kindly gave his support to the campaign during what would be his last visit to the region.
He was joined at the event by popular actress Liza Goddard and Jack Ellis - best known for his portrayal of villainous prison warder Jim Fenner in the UK television series Bad Girls and as Coronation Street's Harry Mason - to officially launch the annual prize draw.
They are pictured with Pollyanna, and her original painting of a tiger cub ‘A Very Safe Place' which will be the first prize. The money raised from the prize draw will finance the rescue of an Asiatic Moon Bear from the cruel ‘Bile Bear' trade to a sanctuary in Vietnam.
Tickets for the prize draw can be purchased online at www.pollyannapickering.co.uk The tickets cost £1.00 each, and the winning ticket will be drawn on the 17th July 2010.
