Linda's painting Flamingo Dance won the Award of Excellence at the 2009 NatureWorks show in Tulsa , OK. This painting was inspired by the flamingos at Lake Nakuru, Kenya. The Greater Flamingos would form groups and then weave past the Lesser Flamingos. Once they reached the "magic" spot, the Greater Flamingos would turn around and weave back. They didn't stop to feed, they just kept dancing.
