Kitler to Return to Panama in February 2009
In February 2009, David and a group of ten others will be returning to Panama. This time, besides delivering school and personal care supplies, they will spend 10 days building whatever the villagers decide can make the biggest impact in their lives. It will likely be a school/meeting room and/or better toilet facilities. Currently the village only has two outhouses that are not in great shape.

David also intends to visit Jessica Rosas at Panama City's Metropolitan Park to deliver supplies that are aimed at helping her with her important rehabilitation work.

If you can help in any way, please check out the Get Involved section of David's web site (www.davidkitler.com/get-involved.htm) or contact us. With your help and generosity we can make a real difference to the people and to conservation in that little corner of the world.

Panama Wish List:
- school supplies
- personal care supplies (e.g. toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, etc.)
- fabric for parumas (traditional skirts)
- baseball gloves
- soccer balls
- building materials (e.g. cement, zinc sheets, hammer, hand saw, sand, beam, etc.)
- live traps (e.g. Tomahawk)
- material for animal enclosures (e.g. wire mesh)
- tracking collars

Background

David first visited Panama and became involved with the villagers of Llano Bonito during the first AFC Flag Expedition. The AFC Flag Expeditions Program is a unique program established and operated by the Artists for Conservation Foundation. The Program makes possible the field study and artistic rendering of endangered species and habitats deserving of greater public attention, with a strong emphasis on the study of unique, threatened habitats, and rare or endangered species in remote parts of the world. AFC Signature Members can apply for support and the privilege of carrying the flag of this exclusive group of distinguished artists on their journey.
