Canadian Wildlife Conservation Stamp
Every year, twelve pieces of art art published in the form of a collectable stamp. Each Canadian Province and Territory (with the exception of Quebec) is individually represented by a painting of wildlife found within its borders. A selection of stamp art is chosen to be reproduced as limited edition prints. These prints are signed and numbered by the artists and are available for collectors. This publishing program was initiated by Sherman Hines for the purpose of raising money for various conservation organizations. These conservation prints are available to groups to raise funds for programs and courses that are a benefit to wildlife, wildlife habitat and the adminsitration of wildlife programs within Canada.
Peggy's painting, "A Warm Spot", featuring two river otters was selected to represent the Yukon Territory for 2008. Sixty signed collectable stamps are available as well as numerous unsigned stamps.
Contact the Canadian Wildlife Conservation Stamp Program or the Yukon Territory Wildlife Federation for collectable stamp information.
