Labrador Expedition
Linda has been asked to be part of the upcoming WREAF Expedition to Labrador, Canada. (www.wreaf.org) At the invitation of the Innu Nation, twelve will head to a remote spot to witness the George River caribou migration. The trip is sponsored by the Canadian Wildlife Federation and associated with the Smithsonian's Arctic Studies Center. A show at the Smithsonian of the field sketches and paintings generated from the trip is anticipated in late 2009 or 2010. About ½ of the herd of 800,000 caribou passes through this region of Labrador.

Linda was asked to be in the group not only for her wildlife paintings but also because she has a Master's degree in geology. The remote location at Lake Kamestastin was formed by one of the 30 largest meteor impacts on the earth. Linda looks forward to the wildlife and the fascinating geology of the area. The trip runs Sept 28th - Oct 18th, 2008
