The Art of Conservation 2011
Two of Sheila's pieces were again chosen for this year's Artists for Conservation juried art show, "The Art of Conservation".
"Under Surveillance" and "Timeless" will both be in the virtual show and companion book while "Timeless", a painting portraying a Great Blue Heron rookery, was also chosen to exhibit in the live show in Vancouver, BC.

Sheila returns to show at Buckhorn
After a five year absence Sheila is thrilled to return to the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival for a second year. Having shown for eight years in this juried show previously known as the Buckhorn Wildlife Art Festival the scope and name was adjusted to include a broader artistic interest. Over the years the show has maintained the quality of excellence; it is an honour to show with such talented artists.

Sheila is chosen for 2010 Virtual Art of Conservation Show
Being selected for the virtual Art of Conservation 2010 Show is an honour. The concept behind Artists for Conservation is groundbreaking in that it represents a breakthrough for international artists to showcase their work to the world and to provide a common appreciation of conservation. This focus is exciting, never done before and helps to unite through art the globalization of artistic creations dedicated to heightening conservation awareness.

Sheila garners Juror's Choice Award
At the Thursday July 10th opening of Clayton's New York Handweaving Museum & Arts Center Art Show & Sale it was announced that Sheila Ballantyne's Front Row Seats was selected by the jurors for top honours. This International exhibit "Along The River's Edge" runs until September 2, 2008.

Ducks Unlimited selects Sheila Ballantyne's Thrill Seekers
Sheila Ballantyne of Brockville, Ontario, has joined some of Canada's foremost nature artists by donating her artwork to help Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) raise much needed dollars for wetland conservation in 2008.
