For the serious collector, or those who just love art, the skill and talent of these mini masters makes this exhibition one of the area’s favorites.  Although the 1/6th rule is enforced, the Society allows works up to 5 x 7” as long as this mandate is followed. To aid viewers, the museum provides magnifiers to help visitors appreciate the true artistry found in these small gems.

Miniature art is a unique art form based on minute scale that traces its roots back to the book paintings and illuminated manuscripts of the 7th century. A work of fine art in miniature is a particularly personal object that draws the viewer into a very intimate world. The MPSGS juried art show is one of the oldest and largest miniature events in the USA, and what better place to hold this amazing exhibition than at the beautiful and historic Mansion at Strathmore where over 800 tiny masterpieces will be on display and for sale.
