2012 Wyland ICON Award

Details: Renowned marine life artist and conservationist Wyland announces the 2012 Wyland ICON Award. The Wyland ICON Award, in conjunction with the Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences (www.auas-nogi.org/), recognizes the achievements of those who have made a positive difference for our water planet.
Wyland is honored to announce that the recipients of the 2012 Wyland ICON Award winners are:
Greg MacGillivray, Award Winning IMAX Filmmaker
Captain Charles Moore, Algalita Marine Research Foundation
Dr. Drew Richardson, President of PADI Diving
JoAnn Zigahn, President of Beneath the Sea
Wyland founded the award in 2002 to acknowledge individuals who exemplify the adventurous spirit of conservation of our natural world - explorers, artists, writers, filmmakers, legends of the sea, and others who have been pioneers in their effort to protect our planet. This distinguishing award has been presented to Jacques Cousteau, Lloyd Bridges, Dr. Sylvia Earle, Hans and Lotte Hass, Rachel Carson, and many of the legends of the sea and heroes for the planet.
