From Magic Dust to Marble Dust: Hollywood Animator Ellen Woodbury's Creative Journey
Date: Saturday, February 27, 2010 to Saturday, April 10, 2010
Location: Loveland Museum Gallery
Details: A one-man show presenting my stone sculpture, pastel life drawings, and Disney animation drawings. Several complete scenes of animation drawings will be exhibited in this show. Two lectures and a workshop will be offered in conjunction with the show.
The show Opening Reception is Friday, March 12. I will present a slideshow on the similarities between stone sculpture and animation.
March 20, 1-3 pm, I will present a lecture on the Bouncing Ball Principle, a cornerstone of Disney Aniation.
March 27, 10:30-3:30 pm, I will present a workshop on making flipbooks.

Details: The largest outdoor juried sculpture show in the US. 200 of the top sculptors from around the country and around the world gather here for one weekend to show and sell their gorgeous work. This is a sublime experience for any one who loves sculpture!
