Weather permitting, I prefer carving outdoors with the inspirational sounds of nature all around---songbirds singing, tree frogs calling, the occassional scream of a red-tailed hawk on the wing---Pictured: The beginnings of a bison I've roughed-out in marble.

After many strokes with hammer, chisel, and rasp----the final sanding.
