Osprey,Study I start painting some detail.
Osprey,Study At this point I shade some of the detail with a half tone.
Osprey,Study Now I put more detail in, loosing value between the birds head and the feathers behind, moulding the image to realism.
Osprey,Study At this stage, I have established the highlights and shadows and now paint in the final detail, that will make the painting come to life, making the image real, ready for framing.
