Artwork can make a tremendous personal gift for special occasions. Whether large or small, a painting or a sculpture, it can communicate in a way that no other object can.

Some things to keep in mind if you do wish to commission a piece:

Availability may change from time to time. So the more flexible your timeframe for a commission, the better.

A decision to accept a commission will in most cases be guided by personal interest in the proposed project. The more creative freedom, the better.

Often, the best way to communicate a commission idea is to use examples. Identify what aspects of my work you like best using examples from my portfolio. Consider subject matter, mood and dominant colors.

Be prepared to discuss price/budget. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the agreed price is required before starting work. The remainder is payable on completion of the work. You will receive a pencil sketch or colour study, depending on the type of work commissioned, which forms the basis of an understanding concerning the specifications of the final artwork.
