Or, request a painting of a location of your choice.
I do not normally do a painting on request from a photo provided by the client. I prefer to go there and paint a 9" x 12" sketch, which can either be the finished painting, or a study from which to paint a larger canvas.
Usually, no down payment is required unless the request is quite unusual.
