The Northwoods of Wisconsin have always been home for Betsy. Blessed with her mother's artistic talents and clocking in many hours in the woods with her father over the years has molded Betsy's career as a nature and landscape artist.
Betsy works mainly include detailed wood sculptures and oil, though she is versatile in graphite, acrylis, and pastels. Such a variety of mediums yet all the distinct work of artist Betsy Popp.

Betsy has exhibited her art work from New York to Oregon and has had the fortune of receiving many First Place ribbons as well as "Best of Show" awards for her efforts.
Besides art work telemark skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, bow hunting, fly fishing, backpacking, hiking, camping, biking, and scuba diving are some of the activities that round out Betsy's lifestyle. Her favorite saying is, "I never get bored!".

I just served my second Artist in Residence at the Idaho Art Lab, St. Anthony, Idaho. Love it there, so much to see and do. In the middle of the best trout fishing in the world doesn't hurt!

'Mourning Reflection' an original pastel by artist Betsy Popp is part of PaintAmerica's Top 100. Two images were chosen from each state to make up the Top 100. 'Mourning Reflection' represents one of two images out of all the images from Wisconsin. 'Mourning Reflection' will be available on their web site as well as go on tour with the PaintAmerica exhibition schedule.

- 2011 - Grand Canyon National Park
Two wall reliefs of Cape Final at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, display a raven, white throat swift, and the green-violet swallow. A wood sculpture/wall hanging art work, by Betsy Popp will be on display in the Book Store on the North Rim.
- 2010 - Everglades National Park
A pair of life size, anatomically correct Cape Sable Seaside Sparrows mounted into a wood sculpture adorn the Coe's Visitor's Center at the Everglades National Park.
- Georgia Department of Natural Resources
An original pastel of wood storks titled, 'Misty Morning Storks', is in the collection of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
- Badlands National Park
An original pastel titled 'Formation Doves' is in the private collection of the Badlands National Park, South Dakota
- Acadia National Park
An original wood sculpture of a pair of chickadees is in the private collection of Acadia National Park, Maine
