Harro Maass graduated in 1962 from the Werkkunstschule of Graphic Design Krefeld, Germany.
He has worked as a freelance illustrator since 1974 and started painting wildlife in 1987. Articles about him can be found in Wildlife Art Magazine (March/April 2003) and US Art (August 2000).







Six of his paintings were selected to be included in Christie´s auctions held in London from 1997 to 1999. Three of his paintings were published in Best of Wildlife Art II released in 1999, In 2003 Harro Maass was accepted for the fifth time to be included in the prestigious Birds in Art Show in Wausau, WI.

He depicts wildlife from those parts of the world he as himself visited.
Harro has held three one-man shows in Germany and exhibited in galleries, museums and other shows both in Europe and the United States

His home is in Ratingen Germany, near Düsseldorf.

His work is represented in the collections of the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau and the Alexander Koenig Museum in Bonn, Germany.
