Lucie Bilodeau

Lucie Bilodeau was born in May,1967. Canadian by birth, she now lives with her husband in the United States, in Massachusetts, where she paints full-time.
Her interest in art started at the age of 7. At 14, she became a student of Mission: Renaissance School in Montreal, Canada, to be taught the traditional fine art skills. There she took a series of 6 courses. Among these was an in depth study of the masters: Rembrandt, Monet, Manet, Cezanne and Fantin Latour. Ms. Bilodeau has distinguished herself by competing for 6 years in the "Cercle des Artistes Peintres du Quebec National visual art competitions". By the age of 23, she had won 8 national awards. Also by that age, she won 2 International awards.
In 1995 Ms. Bilodeau was one of the judges for the 11th Annual Judged Show of the Marathon Art Guild, in Florida. Four years later, she was one of the three judges for the Pigeon Key Foundation's Fifth Annual Pigeon Key Art Festival, in Florida. She also had her work exhibited in the Key West Art and Historical Museum, for the "Women in Art" exhibit, in 2000 and 2001.
In September, 2002, the artist took her first trip to Africa to study the wildlife of Africa in their natural habitat. She visited the Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Crater, the Serengeti National Park, the Lake Manyara National Park and the Arusha National Park.
Ms. Bilodeau is also featured in the fine art market guide Le Guide Vallee of Canada, the MAGAZIN'Art Biennial Guide to Canadian Artists in Galeries and the national canadian publication Cent Vingt du Cercle des Artistes Peintres du Quebec. Additionally, she has been featured in Wildlife Art, Sporting Classics, ARTnews, Manhattan Arts, Living Artists, Aging Successfully, The National Bulletin and Focus (The Luxury Lifestyle Magazine of South Florida).
The artist's painting "Young Lion" was featured on the cover of Wildlife Art magazine, March/April 2003 edition.
Since 1990, many of Lucie Bilodeau's works have been published as prints, fine art limited editions, greeting cards, puzzles, decorative tiles, counted cross-stitch designs, calendars, and many other products by different publishers and companies, including Sagebrush Fine Art, Tree-Free Greetings, Pumpernickel Press, Evergreen Enterprises, Leanin'Tree and Pine Ridge Art.
Many of Ms. Bilodeau's works can be found in private collections around the globe, including England, France, Russia, Germany, Japan, Australia, United States and Canada. She has been represented by fine art galleries since 1989.
