An interpretive sculptor of wood, Lynn Branson finds her inspiration in the line, form and shape discovered in each treasured piece of her chosen medium. The forms and shapes she develops as sculpture portray the living creatures of the Natural World, a World to which she feels a deep committment.

Living on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, the Ocean, Forest and Alpine areas are close at hand, devastatingly beautiful and, to Ms. Branson, fragile and vunerable. Conveying this delicate beauty is a main objective in her work, which she has exhibited internationally, earning her many awards.
Lynn has held three World Interpretive titles ,being the only female in the 45 year history of the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art Carving Competition held in Ocean City Maryland USA annually.
Artists that have influenced Lynn are many. One of Lynn's first mentors was Courtney Milne. Not only a master photographer , an artist, author, educator, keynote speaker, and philanthropist.
American icon and master wood turner Mark Lindquist influenced Lynn's approach to her work and his support gave her the confidence to pursue her passion. Lynn was honored to be a part of the Blakely Burl Tree Project.

Lynn's goal is to continue producing works of art that have a significant meaning to them. Bringing an awareness of the human imprint and the forces of nature to our earth.
