Olena Lopatina

Olena Lopatina was born in Ukraine and studied art at the Kharkov Academy of Art and Design. She moved to Canada in 1997and is now living in Stouffville, Ontario. As a member of the Richmond Hill Group of Artists (RHGA) she has participated in numerous solo and group art shows at the Mill Pond Gallery.
In a Juried show in 2009 she got 2 Honorable Mentions for her works: "Autumn Song" and "In the Shadow"; In 2011 she won a People's Choice Award for "Spring Leaves" ; In 2015 she got Ruthe Caverley Rabinovitch Award for"Glowing; Honorable Mention in Open Juried Show in Richmond Hill.
She exhibits her works in shows and galleries around Ontario, including: - Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, 2015; - Carmel Fine Art & Music Festival in Niagara Falls Ontario, 2015; - Schomberg Street Gallery, 2015; - Studio Tour Stouffville Ontario, 2015; - Autumn Art Sale, 2009, at McMichael Canadian Art Gallery; - Mill Pond Gallery of Richmond Hill in Group and Solo Exhibitions; - Studio Tour of Richmond Hill, Ontario 2011-2014; - Heintzman House Invitational Art Show & Sale in Thornhill Ontario, 2008 and 2009; - Toronto Art Expo 2008 and 2009; - Various exhibitions in Russia, the Ukraine, and Yugoslavia.

Support for Conservation:
Olena will donate a percentage of the sale proceeds to specific conservation organizations on all artwork sales. She has made a donation to the publication of a book about the Oak Ridge Moraine. The book was sold at individual and group shows and money from sale goes to Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation.
