Josh Tiessen is an international award-winning artist, one of the world’s top ten prodigy artists (Hufflington Post), and the only known male art prodigy in NA (Dr. J. Ruthsatz, Global Prodigy Expert). Mentored by masters like Robert Bateman and Judy Major-Girardin (McMaster University SOTA), over the past decade Tiessen has had over 70 exhibitions including the National Gallery of Canada, and now exhibits internationally. Juried in as the youngest member of International Guild of Realism, Artists for Conservation, and Society of Animal Artists, he is distinguished among the world’s foremost realist, nature and animal artists, with 80 originals and 50 print series in private and corporate collections worldwide. Establishing Josh Tiessen Studio Gallery (now #1 Art Gallery in the Hamilton area) and Arts for a Change Foundation, he makes frequent art donations, is a sought-after speaker/teacher, featured often in the media for his art and philanthropic work, with numerous awards including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and Canada’s Top 20 Under 20. In spite of his early success, Tiessen humbly acknowledges his artistic talent is a gift from God. His artistic style is contemporary high realism, he delights in showing the beauty and diversity of creation and the image of God in human creativity.
