I enjoyed watching my grandfather paint as a young child and he fostered a lifelong interest in art. The practicality of raising a family was priority for many years but in 2004 I could no longer ignore the yearning so began the present journey. After working in various mediums I focused on oil and acrylic using classical techniques in style of contemporary realism.

Two images were provided to this effort. The Jumpstart Calendars are funded by the Canadian Tire Jumstart Program and celebrates athletes who give back to the community and the host artists lend their images and artistic talents to give kids across Canada a sporting chance. This program funds registration, equipment and/or transporation costs for financially disadvantaged kids (4-18) to give them a chance to experience a sport or recreation activity.
