Having a wildlife obsession is a very nice way to live.
I thoroughly enjoy observing animals in the wild. | hope that my art shows the emotions that I feel when I come face to face with animals in their own habitat.
Claude Thivierge is one of the newest up and coming Canadian wildlife artist whose love of art started early in life and blossomed at Laval University.
Claude's art style has progressed rapidly during the last couple of years. His sense of lighting and crisp color as well as exact detail, gives his work a "magic moment" feeling.
His latest works captures vividly a variety of local and migratory animals in their natural habitats.
Claude also creates fine digital illustrations for many publications in Canada, the US and Internationally. Many of his works have been used in educational and trade books. Smithsonian Institute, Australian Geographic, HFC, Soundprint, David Suzuki Fondation ...
Claude lives with his wife and 2 children in the picturesque village of Riviere-Beaudette, Quebec. He's a stones throw from many lovely wildlife sanctuaries, parks and the majestic St Lawrence River, his favorite river for observation and sketching new subjects.
Claude has ben active in offering many of his works to non-profit organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, Mira Foundation, the Ecomuseum, Animatch and the Quebec version of the Children's wish foundation - "Reves d'Enfants".
