Richman celebrates her relationship with nature through her art. Fluid, viable relationships bring into focus the connection of one life to another, and the intricate ways in which we impact our planet and are impacted by it. More than realist depictions of wildlife, Richman creates images that reveal the inherent bond that humanity has with the natural world. Look closely to discover the silent messages within each piece – work that reflects deep insight and sensitivity. Richman paints the space between the threads that weave together the beautiful tapestry of biological diversity. Her images tell the story of living relationships in order to bring to the forefront that what we do to our natural world, we do to ourselves. Richman’s vision is that people and nature can thrive together in balance and in harmony.
During her artistic career, Richman has created images for The Nature Conservancy which protects habitat around the world, the Arc of Appalachia which promotes woodland sprawl in the Eastern Appalachian Forest, and many other non-profit organizations. She’s fulfilled commissions for private art collectors as well as budding art connoisseurs, while establishing a strong exhibition base at key venues and public collections throughout the U.S.
Richman began exploring creativity at a very young age, and has pursued fine art and science throughout her career. By sharing her work, she encourages all of us to explore our own intimate relationship with the natural world.
