Medium: Oil on Composition Board
Description: I usually paint with acrylic, but for florals I choose oil for their blending quality. This piece was painted using the grisaille method, which means creating the values (halftones) with a single color and then layering additional color on top until the monochromatic stage is obliterated. It is a more tedious approach, but the end result is luminous!
