Ball Python Twins - Ball Python at rest; its twin reflected by Tony Mayo
  Ball Python Twins  (2016)
Subject: Ball Python at rest; its twin reflected
Dimensions (inches): 4.75 x 18 x 11.5
Medium: Soapstone, Carnelian and Bamboo
Description: A sensuous Ball Python, carved from Brazilian Soapstone, quarried near Belo Horizonte. The sculpture is polished to perfection; its twin reflected in the heavy plate mirror. Inlayed eyes are of hand cut and polished Carnelian from India. The base is perfectly finished Moso Bamboo (also known as Sahara Bamboo) from Taiwan. In some areas of the world, ball pythons are endangered. Their name is derived from the fact that they curl up like this when at rest. If there are two or more Ball Pythons, they often wrap around one another.
