Subject: Snow Leoaprd Dimensions (centimeters): 18 x 23 Medium: Scratchbaord Description: When visiting Taronga zoo in Sydney I saw a snow leopard sitting behind some rocks as though he were guarding the fort, hence, the title of this scratchboard piece 'My Spot.'
I placed a 10 cent piece on the image to give an indication of it's actual size.
Snow leopards live in the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. Conservation groups near snow leopard habitats are working with local farmers and herders to help foster a better understanding of how to co-exist with these animals and minimize conflicts between them.
