Sanderling in the Surf
Subject: Sanderling Dimensions (inches): 7.5 x 11 Medium: Pencil Description: While living in the Comox Valley on the east coast of Vancouver Island, I always enjoyed frequenting the local beaches during the hot summers. I always found fascination with all of the little sea birds that danced up and down the beach on the incoming water in search of little bits of food. This little guy spent a long time in the froth of the incoming tide. He followed the leading edge of bubbles, dancing in and out and always expertly staying dry. Next time your sitting and enjoying a few rays on a nice day, take the time to observe the little birds that are sharing the shoreline. You will find their dance entertaining as well I'm sure.
