Description: ‘Martyrs to the cause of progress'
Christians used portable highly glided and jeweled reliquaries for centuries in worship during important services. I used this theme to emphasize the preciousness of these endangered species.

While it's tempting to think of these bobcats (Felis refus) as cute large kitties, they need to be left alone (not fed by humans) and of course not hunted. Fragmentation of land and lack of public education are the bobcats' biggest concerns. Endangered since 1972.
