Northern Rain Forest
(2007)
Subject: Canyon Waterfall
Dimensions (inches): 32 x 24
Medium: Acrylic on Masonite
Description: This painting was inspired by a water fall in Leonard Harrison State Park, which is the eastern rim of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. About half way up the Turkey Path, the water gently falls over a horse shoe shaped wall of rock in a thick moist forest. Climbing from the path down into the stream and looking up, the wall bcomes very imposing. You can smell the damp mixture of moss and pine, giving you the impression of being in an ancient rain forest.
