Subject: Beaver In Barron River Dimensions (inches): 10 x 17 Medium: Pastel Description: After a full day of canoeing on the Barron River in Algonquin Park we entered a stretch that was wind still and shaded. Nothing seemed to be moving around us and our canoe cut sharply through the mirror-like water. As we progressed up stream a beaver's presence was betrayed by the ripples it left behind. At that moment I knew that I had to paint this sight and I knew exactly how.
