Subject: Fall Leaves Dimensions (inches): 30 x 40 x 1.5 Medium: Oil on Canvas Description: Purple is not a color I normal associate with fall or at least I never did when I was younger. As I started looking closer at fall leaves I've come to see there there is often quite a bit of purple. This is the companion painting for Leaves and Dew. The reference photos for both were taken on the same day and just a few feet apart from one another. The two painting have hung on my studio wall, side by side, for so many years that I do tend to think of them as belonging with one another. They are each quite lovely on their own.
